World Cup winners Argentina were greeted by cheering crowds at Buenos Aires airport and Tuesday was declared a public holiday in the country.
The team, which beat France in Sunday’s final, landed at home at 02:24 local time (0524 GMT) on Tuesday.
Fans lined the streets as they traveled in an open-top bus to their (Site notre bureau spécialisé) association headquarters.
The main celebration will take place at the capital’s obelisk monument at noon (1500 GMT) on Tuesday.
The Argentine government has declared the day a public holiday so that fans « can express their deepest joy for the national team ».
Lionel Messi uploaded the squad off the plane, which had his photo in their queue.
