Comes from the city of Hull
Just days after Aaron Hickey (20) made a record €16.5million buy, FC Brentford have presented Keane Lewis-Potter (21), the most expensive new transfer in history of the club. As the club announced on Tuesday, the left-winger has signed a six-year deal with an option for another. The England Under-21 international comes from second division side Hull City, who are expected to earn €19million. Due to possible bonuses, the sum should be able to go up to 25 million euros.
Lewis-Potter was trained at Hull City where, despite his young age, he has established himself as a regular in recent seasons. He made 48 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists. Meanwhile, he hasn’t missed a single minute in the league. In the latest league update, the striker was one of the biggest gainers by market value, posting a €1m gain to €12m currently.
“He fits perfectly into the Brentford model. He’s a good young player who we think has the qualities to play in the Premier League now. He will continue to develop, » Brentford manager Thomas Frank commented on his commitment.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Keane Lewis-Potter on a six-year deal with a club option for a further year.
