DFB player Kai Havertz (26) suffered a small surgical intervention after a knee injury. The attacker’s operation was carried out on Thursday and succeeded, said the Arsenal FC. There was no other information from the Londoners at the time of failure.

Havertz suffered the injury during the 1-0 outside victory during the Premier League opening match at Manchester United, in which he had been on the field for 30 minutes after a change for Viktor Gyökeres. Several specialized exams and examinations had later confirmed that « surgery was necessary, » he said by Arsenal.

Havertz had already missed about three months in the last half of the season due to a thigh injury. After his recovery, the former Leverkusener had to adapt to the preparation of the season due to complaints. The fact that Havertz is absent from the DFB team in the next World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Northern Ireland in early September had already been confirmed. The striker finished his last international match in Hungary in November 2024. Havertz had missed the Final Four of the League of Nations.
